Creedence Clearwater Revival – I Put A Spell On You
Creedence Clearwater Revival is an American rock band that was formed in 1958 in California. Eventually, he began performing under the name Creedence Clearwater Revival from 1967. The band’s original composition is vocalist and leader John Fogerty as well as Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, Stu Cook and Tom Fogerty.
The band’s debut simply entitled “Creedence Clearwater Revival” brought a blend of blues, rock & roll, country and folk characteristics of the group’s style. The album includes both covers of “Suzie Q” or “I Put a Spell on You” blues standards, as well as the group’s own compositions.
Peaks of success and popularity came with the second album “Bayou Country” of February 1969, which in the United States alone sold more than 2 million copies. It is on this album that the most popular Creedence Clearwater Revival recording “Proud Mary”, which dominated the charts in the USA.
The effect of the increase in popularity was a large concert tour and performances at famous music festivals, including the legendary festival in Woodstock.
