Metallica – Seek and Destroy
An American metal band founded in 1981 in Los Angeles. Metallica is one of the most important and influential groups in the entire history of heavy playing. Her musicians have achieved both artistic success – many of her albums are today considered a classic of heavy metal and rock – as well as commercial, selling over 100 million copies of their albums worldwide.
The first band members were Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney. The last two, however, were soon replaced by Kirk Hammett and Cliff Burton respectively, and in such a composition in 1983 Metallica released their debut album “Kill’ Em All “. The album is a classic accomplishment of trash and speed metal. She laid the foundation for the subsequent success of Metallica, thanks to such compositions as “Seek nad Destroy” or “The Four Horsemen”.
The band’s next work saw the light of day in 1986. The album “Master Of Puppets” is recognized as the group’s greatest achievement and at the same time one of the most important albums in the history of metal. The album has been successful and to this day appears at the top of many quotations summarizing the most outstanding works of metal music. Songs like “Battery”, “Master Of Puppets” and “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” come from this release.
However, the biggest explosion of popularity came with the premiere of the next album. The album titled “Metallica” or “The Black Album” was released in 1991. It features the band’s most popular hits: “Enter Sandman”, “The Unforgiven” and “Nothing Else Matters”, and the album has sold to today in the United States alone in the number of over 15 million copies. Thanks to this album, the band was not only a giant of metal music, but also one of the biggest rock stars in the world.
