Thin Lizzy is an Irish rock band that formed in 1969 in Dublin, Ireland. The band is known for their hit songs “Whiskey in the Jar” and “The Boys are Back in Town” from the 1970s. The band’s original lineup consisted of Phil Lynott (vocals, bass), Brian Downey (drums), Eric Bell (guitar) and Eric Wrixon (keyboards).

Thin Lizzy released their debut album, “Thin Lizzy” in 1971. Although the album was not a commercial success, it set the stage for the band’s future success. In 1972, the band released their breakthrough album “Vagabonds of the Western World”, which featured the hit single “Whiskey in the Jar”. The album was a huge success and established the band as a major player in the rock music scene.

In 1976, the band released “Jailbreak” album which featured the hit single “The Boys are Back in Town” . The album was a commercial success and cemented the band’s place in rock music history. The band continued to release successful albums throughout the 1970s, including “Johnny the Fox” (1976) and “Bad Reputation” (1977).
