Kiss – I Love It Loud

The Kiss group was founded in 1973 in New York and became a favorite of American teenagers mainly in the 70s. Kiss captured not only a mixture of melodic metal and catchy melodies but also a great concert show and distinctive makeup.

The KISS team in 1973 was formed by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Their debut album “KISS” was released in 1974. Two years later they already had three albums and many concerts, thanks to which they gained a group of fans. The album “Alive!”, Released in 1975, was a breakthrough. It made it to the Top Ten list and included songs like “Rock ‘N’ Roll All Nite”. A year later, another album appeared – “Destroyer”, which achieved platinum status, and its hit was the ballad “Beth”.

During this period, the band was at the peak of popularity, which decreased at the beginning of the next decade. The musicians decided to move away from the masks and the current image on the album “Lick It Up” from 1983, which again gave them platinum. Until the end of the 1980s, they kept on a wave, publishing well-selling albums. Composition has also changed. In the early 1990s, the ballad “Forever” appeared, being their biggest hit since the time of “Beth”.

In 1996 KISS reactivated in their original composition and went on a world tour, returning to their masks and special effects, and in 1998 they released the album “Psycho Circus”.

KISS became extremely popular among young people in the ’70s due to both its image and musical style. Their concerts were a spectacular show with circus and pyrotechnic tricks, and the costumes and makeup of the musicians distinguished them from other bands. However, the musical achievements of the group are also important. Their thrilling hard-rock rhythms interspersed with ballad melodies paved the way for pop-metal and arena rock bands.
